high pressure holding its ground across southern california. a weak system coming in for monday that may drop a little bit of light rain around ukiah. that's about it. nothing getting its way all the way down towards the bay area. you can see the fog inland for tomorrow morning and coastal low clouds. high clouds for monday but no signs of any rain coming into the bay area. so it's a new year but the same forecast we saw to wrap things up in 2011. tomorrow morning, chilly for inland valleys. notice what happens as we go through the day. the numbers that are going to be fascinating to watch will be from san jose down towards gilroy. if we can manage upper 60s to near 70, those would be record breaking highs for first day of january. 60 in san francisco. cooler in fairfield and concord where some of the fog may try to linger especially towards solano county. a dry start to the new year. it looks like storm track's still too far to the north. the chance of showers on thursday looks to be mainly sonoma county northward. a little chilly but no fog o
